We Are Honored to Host Elisabeth Wetzel’s Feldenkrais Workshop in Kobe
We are very pleased to announce a special event this autumn: a Feldenkrais Method workshop with Elisabeth Wetzel here in Kobe (Mikage).
Elisabeth Wetzel first discovered the Feldenkrais Method as a young woman and practiced it for many years on her own. In 2015, she became a certified Feldenkrais Practitioner, and since then the method has deeply influenced her approach to learning, enriched her awareness of the body, and transformed her outlook on life. Originally from Germany, Elisabeth has lived in different countries with her husband and now-grown children. When one of her children married a Japanese woman, Elisabeth and her husband embraced the opportunity to move to Japan in 2019. She now lives in Kyoto and enjoys sharing the profound benefits of Feldenkrais with others.
This October, we are fortunate to welcome her for a mini-workshop in English—a rare chance to experience her guidance in person.

What to Expect
The Feldenkrais Method invites you to explore movement in a way that feels lighter, easier, and more natural. Most of us unconsciously use too much power and muscle energy in daily actions—leading to strain and even pain. In this workshop, Elisabeth will guide you through gentle movements and exploratory questions that help you recognize unnecessary effort and discover more efficient, effortless ways of moving.
No copying of exercises is required. Instead, you simply lie down, close your eyes, and tune into your sensations. By experimenting with small, mindful movements, you will begin to sense the difference between tension and ease—and carry this awareness into daily life.
